Major Responsibilities:

• To contribute and value add in PTCL overall organizational ambitions with Innovative mind & Network Virtualization related skilled set. 
• Provide contribution in NFV/SDN projects and Network Transformation strategy.
• Provide support in Virtualization related Solution RFP/RFI/RFQ/SoC handling, Solution Design/Architect (Network Planning, Design Configuration) Formulating Strategies and Concepts.
• Understanding of ETSI NFV architecture with an clear knowledge of container platforms like Openstack, Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Open-shift etc. Based on this plan its application and deployment in PTCL.
• Dealing with fast growing Cloud Core, vIMS, vPS, VoLTE, VoWiFi, VoBB, Unified Communication, Internet Of Things (IoT), Enterprise, M2M, Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Software Defined Networking (SDN), Wifi-Offloading and UDB projects, involved in overall strategy making, competition analyses, core network evolution planning and supporting in company-level project.
• Project Strategy and Business Case Management (Material and Resource Planning, Responsibility Matrix)
• Technology Business Planning (Marketing Analysis and Forecast)
• Presentation Skills (Conducting  presentations, arranging  demos and workshops with in PTCL and with our partners.

Essential Knowledge:       

• Passionate  for Technology Innovation and improvement.
• NFV/SDN, Subject matter Architectural knowledge, experience of planning network integration and network evolution strategy.
• Familiarity and experience in the areas of orchestration, management and virtualization.
• Understanding of Operators Telco, Core and IP networks and networks functions
• Knowledge and experience in OpenStack, MANO, OPNFV, Open Daylight, ETSI and similar industry forums and standardization orgs and projects.
• Familiar with Operator's Applications : OSS, BSS, CRM, ERP, OA ,and DC and Cloud based technologies
• Strong Knowledge of Network Planning/strategy experience for Fixed Core Network, Wirelines and Fixed Mobile Convergence.
•  Sound knowledge of 4G LTE/EPC, IMS  system.
• Knowledge & experience of  Private Cloud Architecture; OpenStack as per ETSI Architecture and Hybrid Cloud Integration use cases.
• Telco and IT Convergence Architecture roadmaps.
• Integration of solutions across multiple infrastructure vendors (e.g. Redhat OpenStack, Dell, HPE, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper) and Core Function/Application Providers (ZTE, Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, Oracle, Open Source)
• Knowledge of Virtualization (KVM, VMware) and Storage Technologies (Dell EMC, CEPH, HPE, Cisco fabric layer).
•  Knowledge of Routing/Switching (BGP, MPLS, OSPF, VRRP etc.) and SDN technologies.
• Knoweledge of Cloud Security (Firewalls, LB’s, WAF, IDP, DDoS, Security GW’s, DPI, SIEM, Flow Monitoring) and Governance experience would be preferred
• Any Relevant certifications i.e, RedHat Certified Architect, OpenStack , VMware Certified Professional.
• Awareness of future technologies & trends in Cloud Computing (Multi-Cloud Deployment) and their linkage with Machine Learning & AI.

Requirements:

Education

Bachelor degree in Electrical/Telecom/Computer Engineering from Local (or) International University.

Experience:

Minimum 4-6 years’ experience of working in Telecom Carrier/Vendor environment especially in a NFV / SDN and Virtualization Planning, Design, strategy role in fixed broadband network
