| Job Description: |
Viral Square a fast growing Software development company is looking for a Ruby on Rails developers.
- Design, code, test, and document rails applications as per software specifications and guidelines.
- Work on every level of the stack - front-end to back-end, and everything in between.
- Extend existing applications through enhancements and integrations with third-party platforms.
- Assist in estimating time required to complete projects.
- Advance knowledge with regards to programming languages and tools, in order to successfully perform job functions.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix tools and utilities.
- Basic knowledge of SQL.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference.
- Ability to apply concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical solutions.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Familiar with Agile development methods required skills for all duties include having a working knowledge of:
- Ruby
- Rails
- Git and Github
- CSS3 + HTML5
- XML and JSON basics
- working from the command line (OS X or Linux)
Other skills required for specific duties include having a working knowledge of or experience in:
- SCSS
- Javascript and jQuery
- Twitter Bootstrap
- How REST APIs work
- Rails gem patterns
- Spree Commerce
Skills Required
The developer must have demonstrated knowledge of Ruby on Rails development, preferably with 1-2 years of professional experience.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required or sufficient work experience with sample code and references. |
